UFP Pathways
1. Business and Finance
Course Description: The University Foundation Programme Business and Finance course will prepare students with internationally recognized skills applicable to any organisation. The course will offer a range of modules covering the basics for all areas of Business, including Marketing, Finance, and Computing. English will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects, as well as being taught separately if you need additional support to develop your English language. By the end of the course, you will build analytical abilities and make strong links between the key business and economic theories and the practicalities of the real world.
Raise your professional profile through placement and internship opportunities. The course will give you a chance to broaden your outlook by giving you the opportunity to study for a worldwide recognised degree.

2. Engineering & Computing
Course Description: University Foundation Programme Engineering and Computing course will introduce you to Engineering principles and Computer-Aided Design. They will also develop and demonstrate a deeper appreciation of the skills, knowledge and understanding of Physics and develop essential knowledge and understanding of different areas of the subject and how they relate to each other. You will benefit from world-class learning and experiential facilities to enable you to develop the practical skills you need to gain your dream career in the different fields of engineering and computer science.
Taught Subjects: Physics, Computing, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, English, IELTS.
Course Length: Full-time course – One Year

3. Humanities, Law & Social Sciences
University Foundation Programme Humanities, Law & Social Sciences course consists of three parts – the humanities, law, and Social Science. For the humanity part, you will get to learn a lot about History, Media, and Literature. Whereas Law and Social Sciences are more related to Human Behaviour, the field of study here is Psychology, Law, Government, and Political Science of the UK.
Above all, our foundation diploma is designed to enable you to progress to a wide range of degree courses. Students will become proficient in critical analysis, evidence gathering, and argument evaluation. They also developed an appreciation for differences in Society’s culture and human behaviour.

4. Art & Design
Course Description: The Foundation Diploma in Art and Design is designed to enable you to learn through discovery and exploration by engaging with projects, lectures and study visits. Therefore, the foundation course is essentially a transitional experience in art, design and communication, preparing you for a place in higher education or for employment.
In addition, the wide range of specialist options reflects the progression opportunities available at degree level within the college and the university. Hence, the foundation course’s pathway allows you to build a subject-specific portfolio in readiness for degree course applications.
