NLGS proudly celebrates being a finalist at the ISA Awards Ceremony which took place on 14th-15th November 2024. It is an annual event by the Independent Schools Association – a member group providing professional support and development to independent schools in the UK and globally.
This prestigious event highlighted the achievements of IGO as a finalist in two categories:
- Outstanding Engagement in the Community
The International Greenwich Olympiad by North London Grammar School exemplifies outstanding engagement in the community through its diverse initiatives and impactful projects. By fostering local and global community projects, forming strategic partnerships, promoting diversity and inclusion, and sharing best practices, IGO has created a positive and lasting impact on students, educators, and communities worldwide. The involvement of VIP guests, professional juries, and global educators further enriches the IGO experience, ensuring it remains a transformative platform for future leaders and innovators. This application strongly supports IGO’s candidacy for the ISA Award for Outstanding Engagement in the Community.
- Innovation in Independent Education
Through its IGO initiate, the NLGS has demonstrated a clear commitment to innovation in independent education through the opportunities given to participants to showcase their innovative projects and solutions to local and global problems, workshops provided for educators and supervisors on innovative teaching strategies and bridging academic concepts with practical application.
This acknowledgment highlights the success of the 3rd International Greenwich Olympiad, which brought together 449 students from 48 countries with 310 exceptional projects! The quality of entries was very high, and the judges were particularly impressed by the work taking place at NLGS.
