We are seeking a committed, outstanding teacher to lead a very enthusiastic and supportive team throughout the academy from Year 7 through to Year 13.
What are we looking for?
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Physics to join our team from 17 April 2017.
Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:
– Delivering high quality lessons
– Facilitating the school’s goal of high student academic achievement
– Informing parents about student progress
– Engaging in the school’s pastoral care for all students
– Engaging in appraisals and reviews, and taking part in training and development
Teaching, all sciences in KS3, and Physics in GCSE and A-level, should be a passion for you and to be considered for this position you must hold a degree-level qualification and QTS.
Knowledge of the appropriate curricula would also be beneficial. A competitive salary per annum is offered to the successful candidate depending on qualifications and experience. The position is full time and permanent and you would be working between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.

The Science department at North London Grammar School currently consists of 3 teachers and one technician. Physics is a popular subject at NLGS and we have many academically minded students who want to study physics or engineering at the best universities. Lessons are a delight with small groups of committed and motivated students. We teach OCR GCSEs and planning to introduce Physics A-Levels from September. We have 2 modern fully-equipped laboratories supported by 2 prep-rooms. The experienced staff come from a variety of professional and cultural backgrounds and this makes for many opportunities to discuss physics and education.
