House Groups

House group competitions

The House System, comprising Aeris, Aqua, Ignis, and Tellus, fosters a strong sense of community and healthy competition. Students from all year groups are selected based on a balance of sporting ability, academic performance, and general knowledge. Throughout the year, students participate in major house competitions, including:
– Team building exercise
– General knowledge and academic subject challenges
– Annual Sports Day and athletics event
These programmes not only reinforce the school’s values of collaboration, respect, and excellence, but also contribute significantly to students’ cultural capital, preparing them to thrive both in and beyond the classroom. Similarly, you can find more information on our FAQ page.

About NLGS

At NLGS, we take pride in knowing each and every one of our students. We put our students at the centre of all we do, and promote a clear set of values, which underpin the NLGS culture. Our values are based on three pillars: ‘Bonitas, Scientia, Disciplina’, which is Latin for ‘Goodness, Knowledge, and Instruction’.
