    We are seeking a committed, outstanding teacher to lead a very enthusiastic and supportive team throughout the academy from Year 7 through to Year 13.

      What we are looking for:
      We are looking for an individual who has outstanding teaching ability and who is ambitious not only for their own classes but for all students to join our team from 1 September 2017. You must have strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a thriving and dynamic team in order to build on its consistent excellent examination results. You should be results driven, data focused, resilient and challenging of your team whilst being supportive in order to get the best from them. You need not have run a department before, but you should have a proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning which has led to the very best outcomes for students, along with strong behaviour management skills.

        Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:
        – Delivering high quality lessons
        – Facilitating the school’s goal of high student academic achievement
        – Informing parents about student progress
        – Engaging in the school’s pastoral care for all students
        – Engaging in appraisals and reviews, and taking part in training and development

          Teaching, English in KS3, and English Language and Literature in GCSE and A-level, should be a passion for you and to be considered for this position you must hold a degree-level qualification and QTS.

            Knowledge of the appropriate curricula would also be beneficial. A competitive salary per annum is offered to the successful candidate depending on qualifications and experience. The position is full time and permanent and you would be working between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.

                  English Department
                  The English department at North London Grammar School currently consists of 2 teachers and one EAL support staff. Lessons are a delight with small groups of committed and motivated students. We teach AQA in GCSE and A-Levels. The experienced staff come from a variety of professional and cultural backgrounds and this makes for many opportunities to discuss English and education.
